Assuming they make the playoffs… they should not have the comfort of the Fargo dome.

Idaho scored 2 tds in the last 6 minutes, converted a 2 point conversion but failed on the second to trail by 2 with under 2 to play. Recovered the onsides kick but had a questionable offsides. Montana gets the ball but gives the ball up on downs to Idaho with 52 seconds left. Idaho qb fumbles while trying to scramble on first down and Montana recovers. Great game, Final MU 23 Idaho 21

Bird's eye view from SoCon.

Two teams control their destiny: Furman and Western Carolina.

UTC is currently in that third spot. I have to assume they are Furman fans and hope that the Paladins notch WCU with a loss and then look to beat Furman in a few weeks.

UTC has comparatively the easiest remaining SoCon schedule with ETSU, VMI, and Furman still to go. For some reason, the Mocs have a November bye week and then scheduled Alabama. That seems ill advised.

Mercer's in a tough spot now. They don't have a win over any of the ranked teams and it will probably take some magic for them to sneak into the 3rd spot in the SoCon. They really need to win out and really need a signature win over a ranked opponent for their playoff resume (pretty much just WCU left). With as much volatility as we've seen in the FCS this year, the bubble may be weak and a 4th SoCon team with 8 wins might be appealing.

For both UTC and Mercer, the North Alabama game looks worse each week. Mercer at least beat them.

I suspect the winner of the Wofford/Citadel game will go 1-11 and the loser will go 0-12. Some Wofford fans in the preseason talked about the Terriers as a dark horse in the SoCon, but they've been objectively terrible. The Terriers are 0-7 and still haven't gotten to the toughest part of their schedule (they end with Mercer, WCU, and Furman in three of their final four).
