100% SEC refs have this game rigged through the first half, completely biased calls and missed calls and controlled the flow of the game.............

Otherwise FU has halftime lead no problem....................

Why am I not surprised

The refs didn’t throw 23-25 for 257…
Would have been nice to see the refs make the obvious offensive pass interference calls the 5 or 6 times a USC receiver shoved our defender downfield to get open...........

Whatever happened in the second half essentially makes zero difference as the game was already swung......

These FCS vs. FBS games are always such a joke now anyways I am hardily surprised............

Maybe these games should not even be played anymore, what is the FCS in these games this year like 1-50?? (Maybe worse?)

If a team that can compete with the other (FU vs. USC) get's hosed what's the point in even playing these, they should just send us our check to sacrifice a loss, so each team adjusts their record without even playing the game....................

Even the South Carolina fans that surrounded us at the game were acknowledging that we were getting some terrible calls. The pass interference call right before the half that set up their score was offensive if anything, and the push offs were blatantly obvious. Rattler obviously had another great game, but the calls/non-calls ruined what started out as a good game.

Indeed....
It was demoralizing and completely bogus........................

Refs were bad, but ultimately Furman could not stop the deep pass. Once South Carolina figured that out they took advantage of it.

Rattler was great. Finally playing like the QB everyone thought he would become.

Overall I was disappointed the refs took Furman out of the contest so early on, but with SEC refs in this home-cooked game I am not surprised. Ultimately though Rattler and the South Carolina pass offense was just better. They executed well, stayed on the field, and wore the defense down. Furman should be OK with this outcome and focus on the rest of the season with knowledge they are going to be a really tough team for everyone the rest of the way.

Once again, it needs to be added that its virtually impossible to defend a deep ball when the offense get's away with pushing off just as the ball is nearing its target, impossible to give USC in credit for this, all credit goes to the SEC officials for allowing it to go uncalled ;)

At the end of the day, in a game that is officiated one sided we can only look at what it means for us moving forward, we get $500k and we also got some practice reps in to prepare for the games that really matter starting now ;)

Hoopla, your use of the word "rigged" bothers me. To me, that word implies willful intent and malice, and perhaps backroom agreements and deals. Is that what you mean by "rigged"?

Not my question but when you see an SEC team struggling like Carolina was and then see a blatant BS offensive PI call against the other team that affects the game like that one did ??? They prolly don't talk about it in meetings but amongst themselves. They get intimidated by 80000 people. Happens all the time.
