The past two times South Carolina has played FU in hoops we have killed them, would love to see a nice W for us on the gridiron.

I doubt we'll be able to sneak up on anyone, but USC has Furman wedged between UNC and UGA.

One of my ingredients to a P5 upset is having a game wedged between two "big" games where you might catch a team looking forward and backwards.

Great that its a night game. Columbia is one of the hottest places in the country in September. So it is SECplus. That is a non existent network for me. Never been able to watch anythung on SECplus or ACCplus. Plan on being there but any advise for TV viewers?

Trying to organize a traveling contingent from Charleston for Furman/SC. Will the Furman box office be selling an allotment of tickets in the visitor section, and if so, when do those go on sale? CC: Mr. Covington on this one.

Yes! Furman 31 Gamecocks 27 and we collect $500,000.
USC could spare a lot more than $500,000.
Some of the Power 5 FBS schools are quite stingy. And some are relatively generous.
Interesting to see how much variation there is among Power 5 schools in regard to the amount they pay for FCS opponents.

Is that how that works?

FBS schools decide how generous they want to be and give the FCS school an amount of money determined by their level of generosity?

Travel has a lot to do with the payout. FU to SC requires buses not airplanes. At least SC has stepped up to 500k from 200k. The 200k was the reason FU quit playing SC.

So why don’t you explain all the variations to us. You are asking questions about things that I’m sure you know a lot more about than your questions seem to imply. Why, really?
