A Seed Goid or Bad?

At this point a seed is a longshot for sure. Even if say we would get the 8th seed, that would match us up with the #1 seed in the quaterfinals and a trip to South Dakota, assuming we win the first game. Not sure havng a week off would be good either since we just had one. The positive of getting a seed is a guaranteed home game without having to bid, Of course not getting a seed leaves it all up to you know who and they are never kind to the SoCon. If FU is the number 2 SoCon team you can almost be assured we will not get a favorable draw. So its a pick your poison, lol.

Coach Hendrix hopes to get a seed, so it would be a good thing.

Win Saturday and I think we'll get a favorable draw.

Remember, in past years the SoCon's number 2 team was typically ranked in the top 20. This season the SoCon's number 2 team will potentially be top 10.

If I had my druthers, I'd ruther us have a home game in the 1st Round than a seed. A week off might slow our momentum.

If we don’t count Jackson State cuz they aren’t in Playoffs AND Richmond beats William & Mary (best upset chance not involving a SoCon Team) AND Samford beats Mercer, then you could be correct.

But, if Mercer beats Samford (as FUBeAR is projecting (38-35)), Samford will drop out of Top 10. So, Furman would, with a win over Wofford, most likely, move ahead of Samford and into the Top 10 (not counting Jackson State)…but that would only be 1 SoCon Team in the Top 10 because Samford would fall out and Mercer nor Chatt would rise enough.

Best chance for FU to get a seed…

Beat Wofford BADLY - 52-13 would be good
Mercer beat Samford in a close game (38-35 works)
Richmond beat W&M badly - like 3+ scores
Northern Arizona pulls the home upset of Weber State
North Dakota to beat North Dakota State in Fargo pretty badly

…that should, maybe, possibly, might, could, perhaps do it.
