Homecoming flyover...

I guess this is a bit off-topic, but does anyone know what type of vintage airplanes those were in the pregame flyover at homecoming? I'm assuming that they were from the Warbirds show at the downtown airport, but they didn't look like P-40's, more like some sort of trainers.

The PA announcer did call them the warbirds, but I don't remember him specifying the type of plane.

Looked like Flying Tigers to me.

I wasn’t there but I know the Warbird Adventures team. They have a P-40 and 2 T-6s.

They are based in Ninety-Six and do all sorts of training. I’ve done aerobatic training with them in their Decathlon

That explains it, I think. At least two of them were T-6 trainers and the third one might have been their P-40....just another time that I wished I had brought some optics!

T-6 Texans. The third was a Soviet trainer (I think).
