I'm looking forward to the interview. Here are my questions.

1 - What is a typical day like for you as the AD?
2 - Is there a scenario where baseball returns?
3 - Many of our competitors have invested in end zone facilities. What is the status of the previously mentioned end zone football training and entertainment space? Are there drawings? What progress has been made since last discussed?
4 - Are there plans for any future schedule announcements?
5 - What is the most needed / prioritized upgrade for the football program?
6 - What changes do you foresee and what changes would you like to the transfer portal process?
7 - Being the NIL is what it is, how can you see it positively impacting the Furman football players?
8 - As we lead up to the start of the season, what are you most anxious about?

Obviously something with which, due to NCAA rules, you cannot involve yourself, but are you aware of any thoughts or actions by any Furman Supporters to establish an NIL “Collective” - as has been established at Montana State and Grambling, as well as many, perhaps most, FBS schools?

* FWIW, FUBeAR hates that College Football / Athletics is now completely & openly Professional Sports. He would actually be more OK with it if the Athletes were no longer required, by NCAA rule, to be enrolled in classes and achieving progress toward a degree (as established & defined by the NCAA) - to remove the pretense of amateurism and some ‘higher purpose’ (beyond revenue / profits) of advanced academic institutions sponsoring athletics teams. So, the question is not intended to suggest that FUBeAR thinks Furman should encourage or discourage such an endeavor as an NIL Collective - which, in fact, is nothing more than a slush fund for well-off middle-aged and elderly ‘fan boys’ to buy athletes to come help their favorite school beat other ‘fan boys’’ favorite schools thereby boosting their own already inflated egos. Just curious.

BTW…
Cash, Beers, Babes and College OLmen …what could go wrong?

Will we continue to have metal detectors and seat cushion restrictions in Paladin stadium? What’s behind these changes? What problems have we experienced that forced these ridiculous changes?

Dan, Don’t know how to say this but so I just will. Please ask JD to not waste 30-45 minutes with a Furman commercial. We all know what has been done, the successes, the acadimia etc. Would love to see JD just answer the above questions the whole show. Thanks

EKU announces the Maroon Fund - NIL Collective
https://twitter.com/ZMHSports1
From the Twitter Profile of this Maroon Fund…

“Monetary Fund that is raised from boosters and businesses to promote the name, image, and likeness of EKU Football Student Athletes and other student athletes.”

FUBeAR is very confused.

He had thought the rules were changed to allow & enable NCAA Student Athletes to own the rights to use their own names, images, and likenesses to promote services they may provide (via camps, coaching, etc.) and/or to promote entities, such as businesses with whom they are affiliated and/or that they endorse.

It seems where NIL falls in relation to the words “to promote” has magically reversed. Guessing this little language shift fully enables the Slush Fund feature of NIL.

On the other hand, let's not make JD mad and run him off. He's good, and unfortunately, he'll be gone too soon as it is.
