FBS Schedules Has added FCS Schedules

This is a big plus when looking at future dates. When looking at Furman's future schedules we are at Kennesaw St. in 2023. It looks like the original return game scheduled for 2019 has been moved to 2023 as there is no game scheduled here. The only 2 games for next year they list are at Georgia St. and at VPI. So now we have 2 unknown games for next year instead of one. Remember we play 12 regular season games next year. We also have another home and home with Colgate in '21 and '22.

Thanks for the link.

That’s good news about 2019. Hopefully it means the game was moved in order to even up our schedule for next year. I wouldn’t be surprised if we add some new home-and-home agreements like we’ve had with Elon and Colgate - or even a series of home games with a team like PC.

Hopefully we are done playing PC since they are going non-scholarship. That serves us no purpose in my opinion except maybe in years where we are playing two FBS teams and we need more of a sure thing than playing an SC State or Colgate.

Ditto about PC. Should never go back to PC, shouldn't have went the other 2 times.

I can see a scenario in which we bring PC only to Greenville since they will still count as a DI game, scholarships or not. That's an extra non-conference countable win come playoff selection time. Rather than always having more road games than home games, I wouldn't mind this from time to time.

Especially in a 12-game year with only 7 conference games. There are lots of local PC fans. Probably a better crowd than if Furman had a home game with another reputable school from the north.

Good call. I didn't realize non-scholarship counted in the committee's mind. I would be OK with this too, but not every year. Maybe once every four years.
