Based on offers and watching who our new OC is following I'd expect 2-3 total WRs signing next week.
We've also offered AFA prep transfer, WR Ethan Harris of Raleigh, NC, Harris is 6-3 195.
Looks like we're recruiting against Wofford for Harris.

Send him a video of the Wofford offense last year. Made FU look like a Big 12 powerhouse.

I saw Ethan at the VMI basketball game and he is a big WR.
WR gonna be a strength which is good, as I expect to be seeing us using more one back offense.

How many can we sign on Wednesday? Close to the limit now, correct? Of course the way the NCAA is going are there any rules left?

I'm not sure - I believe CCH did say they left a few slots open to fill.

Fast Forward with a new OC coach having some open slots to fill with a few offensive players can help jump-start what Roper and Bratton want to do.

Ferguson WR — COMMITTED
Harris WR — OFFER (I hope we've got a great shot of landing Harris)

I have no idea which school Bennett will choose. He's an explosive athlete and I don't blame him if he feels he deserves an FBS shot. Would be a versatile weapon for the DINS.
Reggion Bennett ATH — OFFERED (19 offers, de-commit from Buffalo, teammate of Tre McLeod)

WIldcard to keep in mind. Furman also brought in a young, highly-successful OL coach with his own recruiting connections. Coach Cutch! Cutch is followed by some very interesting players not sure if Furman has offered any.

Ferguson looks more shifty than fast. Cuts hard and accelerates quickly. Can see the defense and run himself open vs zone. Doesn't look especially strong but appears to be hard to tackle. Hands and body control look like plus skills. Maybe a Jody Wade/Bear Rhinehart kinda skillset.

That 4.57 in the 40 that Ferguson can run seems pretty fast to me.

How does that compare to the avg. 40 time that a WR would run that plays for Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, etc.?

I understand that a WR for them would be bigger.

great question…
A couple of Clemson receivers…
Tee Higgins is a big receiver 6-4 and ran a 4:54 at the combine
A more interesting comparison for Ferguson is Hunter Renfrow.
Renfrow is 5-10 185 and ran a 4:59 at the combine.

Danny Amendola played at the same high school as Ferguson, and the current coach who was there for both, said Ferguson reminds him of Amendola. Pretty nice compliment.

Cooper Kupp ran a 4.6 something at the 2016 combine. I remember analysts saying he plays FCS level competition blah, blah, blah. Just had a 2k season!!
