Quick question

I missed the last 7 or so minutes of the game.

Did we punt with 4/5 minutes to go down 10 points?? ] If so, on what yard line? Though if we did I’m not sure the field position matters. Dam, you have to play to WIN. Don’t play to lose by less

Also, we let them run three rushing playing at the - Near - end of game and not use a single time out???? Is that right? Can someone please explain this to me? I’m at a TOTAL LOSS - unless I misread what we did.

Thanks for confirmation and help me understand. Thank you!

GF-to answer your question. We punted from our own 33 on 4th and 5 with 4:47. Flagman said it best "we quit". We had 106 total yards until the last minute when Abrams broke a nice run.

And then stopped Chatt on three downs but didn't use any of our three timeouts. We let them squander away three of the four minutes left in the game and brought those three timeouts back to Greenville with us.

Yes, I don’t remember the exact time, but with about 3-4 minutes down 10 we surrendered. I’ve never seen a team do that. Of course the fact is that we had no chance, but coaches always pretend they have an offense even if they don’t. Except ours.

A lot can happen in 5 minutes. We've all seen crazy things happen. To just give up with 5 mins left only down 10 is not explainable. Sends a bad message to the players.

Coach said we went into lockdown mode at the end because he didn't want any more players to get injured.

That doesn’t even make any sense. Hell, he could have at least TRIED a drive with QB 3 or 4 and some scrub receivers to see what they could do. They couldn’t have done any worse than the starters. And why worry about injuries? If you lose the game, next week doesn’t matter.

Exactly, very bad look. Just don’t play the next 3 games. They mean nothing. Someone might get hurt.

CCH seems to think he's the coach of a club team. Except the part where he gets paid to do it.

I didn’t like the decision either but I could possibly argue that our chances of punting and forcing a UTC turnover in their territory were about as likely as us getting a first down…

Didn’t have to be a turnover. They went 3 and out which would have taken less than 20 seconds if we had used the 3 timeouts. Should have went for the fourth and five too.

I agree w all that. My point was converting a 3rd and 6 there was tiny.
