I just went online to the Mercer ticket page and bought two for this game. I’m as frustrated as everyone else but still enjoy going to the games and supporting the team.

Get there early & enjoy the pre-game on-campus concert headlined by Niko Moon. Bandstand is located on Black Field, between the Stadium and the Mercer Football Families’ favored Tailgate spot.

It’ll be a GOOD TIME!

Back before Black Field was called Black Field and Niko Moon, yours truly and the intramural flag football team known simply as "Sorry for Partying" made it to the finals on that location only to be hosed by the ringer team of student referees.

Sorry for Partying was a committed air raid team in intramural flag football when everyone was trying to run option. We were incredible.

So...y’all gonna be there for the Tailgating & Concert (1:30 PM, I suspect)?

You may feel free to stop by FUBeAR’s Tailgate spot & drop off my B’Day presents anytime before 3:15.

Won't be there this year.

Interestingly, for the first time ever, my little league baseball coaching has conflicted me from watching any Furman game to this point. I am resigned to checking scores in between batters.

Is Black Field named after Tom Black, the longtime Trustee at Mercer? It wasn't called Black Field when I was a graduate student, but Mr. Black died several years after that. A nicer man you rarely meet.
