-We can still win out and at least tie for the Southern Conference Championship. I do not think VMI will go undefeated, and we can still beat everyone else.
- The defense played well.
-We have the talent , we simply need to execute.
- Congrats to Deluca, who obviously had the best game of his career.
- Hopefully we will learn from this game , and get better.

If we are going to lose a game, losing a game to a VMI isn't the worst thing in the world. We still have a chance to own the tiebreaker against the likely two best teams - UTC and Wofford.

Also, VMI completely exposed our offense and their coaches out-coached us. Good to have plenty of film now to figure out how to stop our offense. Time to go fix it.

Who would have ever thought we would have to hope VMI loses 2 games, lol. Our defense seems to be good but we have playec the 2 bottom feeders. Our defense is pretty good.

Our offense is ok except for the qb, the center, the play calling, and the fact that nobody told the running backs they need to block. I’m not ready to trash the o line yet. If they aren’t good that says something about the program because they should be the strength of our team, right? I refuse to believe the emperor is neked.

And we have one really good receiver.

We can still win this conference because it probably isn’t very good. So maybe we suffer along and stumble into the playoffs, then switch some people out over the summer. But you gotta wonder how Grainger could have possibly lost that QB competition which makes you wonder about our player evaluation process.

It is my fault for being disappointed because I believed the preseason hype wnd thought after the WCU game that we were really good on both sides of the ball. Then we go to VMI and best we can do is 2 yds on the ground and have our QB running for his life. Then we hear how much Sisson has improved and yada, yada yada. Then we hear how good our offensive line is bigger, better, stronger. We are a running team? Yes but only against poor defenses. Really thought we had turned the corner listening to all the hype and then watching the WCU game. WCU will not win a game. Then go to VMI and get punched in the mouth and have no answers. Just keep running up the middle for one or two yards, surely we will brealk one sooner or later. Didn’t happen. Yes there coud be a minor miracle and we could run the table but we all know that won’t happen. VMI may be the best team in the conference but I am betting they are not. There are no more WCU’s on the schedule. I am much more bummed about the football game than the basketball game. The basketball game was not unexpected, the foitball game was. After waiting so long for football and to have the season ruined in the second game by someone you beat 60-21 the last time out is disheartening. Not only that but to think you may have finally arrived and then realize you’re still no where close is hard to take, When CCH said “we’re older, bigger, stronger and faster” he forgot to add “but we’re not any better”. So sad.
