Current starting TB is listed as...

22 Devin Wynn TB 6-0 208 Sr.

Pretty sure Mr. Wynn will not be sporting those bad-a$$ forearm J-pads though

Consider too the modernization of equipment. Football equipment of the 70s-90s was more bulky and players often sported big neck rolls and collars. That could give the appearance of being a bigger player than you were because of the thickness of the padding.

Modern equipment is lighter, smaller, and allows for more movement.

Jackal, agree- - those shoulder pads are huge in that picture.

Just an example. Julio Jones is a monster, and those pad have a very low profile.



Compare that to Dieon Sanders from the mid 90s.



The pads of that era add a lot of bulk.
