Just noticed a very significant difference in last year's results and this year's figures.
2019 - 2,678 contributions for $2,623,049
2020 - 1,808 contributions for $1,226,367.

May be reasons, but I hope this is not a trend. Did the recent announcement effect this at all? Not sure, but the numbers are off.

Down economy plus a sour taste from recent sports cuts. I’m surprised we hit 7 figures.

The recently announced decisions to take very difficult actions to begin to address financial concerns of the university are supported as wise decisions by the comparative figures quoted.

I like how Men's Basketball got past players involved in the event, shows how much connection the hoops program is making with its players

Of course the recent decisions is the big reason they are way down. They lost more in donations in a year than they will save by eliminating baseball for a year. Very wise move indeed.

The first Dins Day was 2015 and resulted in $1,010m

2016 netted $1,012m
2017 improved to "nearly $1.3m"
2018 a jump to $1,523m
2019 a massive increase to the $2.6m referenced above

2020 back to $1,242m (basically where we were in 2017, pretty much in line with the rest of the economy)

Taken in context with all the facts not as dire as apaladin would like it to be.....

google is tremendous thing to those interested in all data.

Once all the $ are posted, it should be closer to $2.0 million. Not bad at all for year the economy has tanked. It’s sad that folks held back because of baseball. The $ are used to support Furman students, not the administration. It’s the students these people are punishing. Sadly, these folks will take much pleasure in the numbers being down. Really, that is sick and pathetic.

Are you allowed to use that tag? Could be an appropriation.

If one seriously asks that question, there is no point in trying to “explain”. The questioner would never understand or would feign never understanding.

Lol, in other words you can’t explain it.

GoPaladins.com is the latest iteration of The Unofficial Furman Football Page. Launched in August of 1996, The UFFP welcomes fans of all FCS football teams - and fans of the more inferior sports, too - for discussion, cameraderie, and even the occasional smack talk.

For example, Furman has nearly twice as many Southern Conference football championships as the next best SoCon member, and over three times as many as The Citadel....which is why they must carry our luggage
