I honestly don't care who we're playing or what time of day: I was just elated to see this thread after what has been a really rough few months. Dare I say fire up the Kickoff Countdown Clock?

I never like to undersell Wofford, but the Terriers lost a ton of players off last years team.
I think the SoCon will be a three team race with Furman/UTC/the Citadel. It's never a bad idea to make an early statement, though. As we see every year, some teams that start slow spend all season trying to dig out of one bad game in week 1 or week 2.
That said, I don't see how the SoCon can't manage to make a schedule where Furman/Wofford isn't week 1. I realize they have to deal with nonconfernce schedules first, but was there really no other possible week 1 combination than the SoCon's marquee matchup?

Oh, and doubling down on dumb, Wofford plays the Citadel in Week 2.
Seriously, how does the SoCon let that happen? Wofford plays Furman and the Citadel in the first two weeks of the season.

Anyone know if the team has purple pants? Don’t think they do. Wishful thinking but I would love to see a purple matte helmet with the white diamond F. One of the first things I will buy when I win the lottery.

If I had it my way, this would be the uniform combo for the year:
- All-white for all road games.
- Purple tops, white bottoms, traditional helmet for all home games minus two.
- All grey look with traditional helmet for one home game.
- A newly-created all-purple look for one game, featuring traditional purple uniforms, newly created purple pants and potentially a purple helmet as apaladin suggested. I agree that could be an awesome look if it's done right.
