It’s Facebook live only. I was disappointed in the show if I’m honest. Barely anything of substance was addressed from the Wofford game even when there were several questions on the chat. I’m sure this was a turn the page mentality selected by CCH; however, don’t ask for fan’s questions if you’re going to ignore them.

Yep, several good questions ignored. Only positive was CCH talked like FU was prepared to make a strong bid for a home playoff game assuming we even get in.

This morning presser was much more detailed in addressing the Wofford game issues....

Seems the Coaches show is and has been less on details, purposely...

I guess it is a show with only “coach-speak” and one where even “fair-game” questions are not answered. I mean questions about our LOS vs. Wofford’s and a question about our run defense don’t seem like “hard” questions.

In the future I will watch it only when we win and I want to enjoy the celebration.

The bid would go in before a team knows if their in. If team x and team y are paired together then the team that enters a larger bid gets the home game for the first round. The fact that CCH has mentioned this means FU is serious about hosting a first round game if we get in. Hope this happens!!!

If you watched the press conference today you would have seen the majority emphasis on the Wofford game, and a lot of responsibility taken on by CCH for the loss. He went on to say a few times they have turned the page. Which is the same thing we do when we win.

NOT pro-Duke. Merely An interesting psychological study in whether to always “turn the page” or maybe use losses in a different way. . Great short read-

Coach K lost by 40+ to UVA in basketball. Very Famous story. Someone told him “here’s to a night let’s soon forget.” K didn’t join that toast and rather quickly replied. “ here’s to a night we will NEVER forget!! ”. Use the losses to fuel your fire and play with a nasty attitude. Get MAD and hit someone. K went on to attribute that loss as the very fuel that made them great

Having a bunch of good players also helps make you great. Don't let a team " beat you twice".

Sure about recruiting NOW. Keep the context. Not as much back then... at the time of this story he had NEVER had a number 1 recruiting class that I know of. let’s remember the time frame. That’s why UVA killed them. They weren’t Uber talented. Admittedly they were very good but not elite.

I completely agree don’t let a team beat you twice. I have seen that happen.

And you say you never have anything to contribute to those of us on the basketball forum. Tsk .. tsk .. tsk.

I did watch the entire press conference . True CCH did a great job and talked about some specific plays. He really said nothing about our somewhat porous run defense (one chat question) nor did he say anything about the LOS (the other chat question). Right or wrong, the most common observation AND conversation from the game by many many Furman and Wofford fans was that we got killed in the trenches. Was it a bad day on our part (again) or being out coached (he mentioned that generally) or execution mistakes (he mentioned that specifically on a few goal-line offensive plays) or they have more talented players or none of the above. I guess we will never know since the chat questions were ignored. Now I know the format of the show. Like CCH, I have moved on.

I enjoyed both the presser and the coaches show - maybe it's because I watched them on the road.

CCH I thought mentioned some very interesting things - he's blunt about what didn't work - he mentioned several things. Something few coaches will say in situations like these.

What really got my attention is he said — we will play people based on how they practice this week. He's not sure how much that will shake things up - but - I'd say that will shake things up.

CCH also gave us a peek into the freshmen and redshirting - he specifically mentioned Johanning - who will play Saturday and Toomey who they thought would start this season but tweaked his ankle early against VaTech and has one more game to play. We will wait and see - but my bet is those two contend for starting roles next season. I don't think I'm jumping to conclusions that CCH isn't totally happy with aspects of offensive line play.

CCH also chatted about recruiting - said we could sign 17 we're off to a great start (10 commits) and this weekend is the big weekend for official visits. He said they're trying a few new things.

Revealing my own ignorance, but I always figured this was how any sports team is (or at least should be) run.

Yes it is. In this case my take is, coach is letting his starters know he is not pleased.
