Austin Peay (who ETSU just beat) is beating #11 Jacksonville State 17-7 in 2nd Q.
Wofford losing to VMI after a lenghty weather delay

APSU up 31-7 less than a minute to go in 1st half.

Austin Peay now pounding JSU 31-7 at the half.

If that score holds, it’ll look good for Furman. Furman beat Mercer worse than the Govs did, and beat ETSU who beat AP.

JSU is a top 15 team and also has a win over #4 EWU

GO austin peay! who someone on here laughed at as A "Pee" - that ain't lookin so funny. A "Pee" is decent and them winning vs JSU REALLY helps Furman. They lost to ETSU which makes ETSU look better and if they beat top 10ish JSU they may just be the OVC Champion but split SoCon as they beat Mercer but lost to ETSU. Be good for conference if Mercer and ETSU split over OVC champ

Samford losing to Citadel but news is Samford is having to play Welch at QB as 'O' is out w ankle injury

and Samford down 14 in late 4th just came back w two TDs w a 60+ yard passing TD. man, interesting game. 38-38 in 4th with Samford playing backup Welch at QB - OT

oh, kills me but I think I have to pull for Citadel as otherwise Samford is 2-0 in conf. If Cit wins Sam is 1-1 and we are only 2-0 team

After virtually staying the same after a 35 point win we will prolly drop out of the top 25 this week.

Hard to know.

Montana beat Cal Davis, so they may jump us.
Jacksonville State getting railroaded by Austin Peay helps.
Villanova beat up on Maine, who was ranked ahead of us

Yeah Montana might jump us, but Maine and JSU will fall below us as might Nicholls if they lose tonight, also Towson, UC Davis and loser of UNI vs Weber St. will all drop, guess question is how far

Crazy scores today

Wofford 51-35 VMI
Chattanooga 60-36 Western Carolina
Samford 61-55 The Citadel (4 OTs though)

A play from the Chatt-Western Carolina game made the ESPN highlight package. Western's punter faked the punt and ran right down the middle of the field for a 70 yard TD.

Not FCS, but Clemson, who was a 4 TD favorite, beat UNC when the Tar Heels failed on a two point conversion try. Clemson's last TD was the first time they had lead the whole game.

The hot seat that's currently under Bobby Lamb is now scalding...his days in Macon are numbered.
