Curious, who do we play (FBS and FCS) OOC nxt year.?

I assume it is an 11 game year as is normal. I don't like these 2 FBS years

Tennessee is the FBS game. That is the only known game right now UT is the third game of the year. Yes it is back to an 11 game schedule.

For 2023, you may be very happy, since there are very few SEC or ACC schools that appear even “remotely possible” due to being not already “booked up”
UF, UGA, UofSC, FSU, GT.
I’m saying that it appears possible we may have no FBS game in 2023.

I want Colgate, Jacksonville State, Kenesaw State, Tenn Tech, CAA, Sunbelt, etc. for the OOC schedule.

I want Furman to be feared again and not a perennial one and done in the playoffs.

Good. But Sunbelt, as you of course know, is FBS. However, it would be better to go for FBS vs. ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big 10, PAC 12 instead of Sunbelt, in order to get more $ and more publicity.
Other than that, I have no problem with us scheduling OOC with Sunbelt or MAC. And I’d add schools like Richmond, W&M, Towson, Delaware, and Patriot League schools to the list you gave. You did say CAA - good.
Try to add as many good FCS programs as we can financially afford - MVC, Southland, etc. (transportation costs for geographically distant schools make some unrealistic for regular season).

I agree w one FBS and most of this but as learned in a harsh way last year if you are going to go after the CAA or whomever I would also put a Big South.. or OVC

That Elon game last year - 2018 first game - was horrible. I would hope that does not cause us to shy away from CAA. It should not.

We have an FBS game in 2023. It is an SEC team. Contract is signed just waiting on a date from the SEC before it's announced.

it amazes me it took so long for Furman to find a new AD with all the qualified candidates we seem to have

That’s good to hear. Why can it not be announced as TBD?
