Can we NOT do this now?

I'm as passionate as ANY on this board on my "side" of things but I come here for informed takes and zany opinions on FURMAN FOOTBALL. Lots of folks checking this thread for needed updates on weather, game, tailgating, etc.

The weather is looking better and better. I'm also hearing the return landfall is inching further and further North. The Weather Channel is now showing 24% chance of rain and winds at 6mph.

zany opinion stands: Inflated Samford football ranking will crash harder than this stock market currently is after we beat them down on Saturday
I can hope. Wish they hadn’t looked so strong v WCU - I didn’t expect Sammy to be this good. However it is definitely an opportunity as It is certainly in our benefit that they are ranked.

This is, unquestionably, the FCS game of the week. 2 Teams that should both be ranked in the Top 15 are both excited about entering the eye of that kinda storm. Furman knew they were going to be a good Team this year. Samford has pleasantly surprised themselves. Now they both wanna prove it to all the other FCS Forecasters. Furman has won sloppily and choppily the past 2 weeks after losing to Clemson while executing more like a Swiss watch. Losing QB Huff is huge…it would be devastating to Furman…except the backup is more than capable of leading Furman to victories as he proved last year with his dynamic play. Samford’s Defense has been better and that’s what will keep this game close and make it as difficult to project as the path of a storm. Gotta go with the Home Team.

FINAL SCORE: Furman 44 - Samford 37 (in OT)

I couldn't agree any more with the commentary. It will be a good, tough game. Both vying to be highly respected.
