Our old nemesis, pass defense.
I mean, we sacked Etsu all afternoon and they had 10 points until seconds left in the game.

Don’t blame the defense.
The defense played great in the firet half(3 points, 93 yds) Not so much the second(14 points 230 yds). Same amount of possessions. After we were up 13-3 the defense seemed to lose its edge. When we went up 10, I said that etsu would waltz down the field on their next possessiin and they did. Lack of killer instinct. Just looked like they relaxed and lost something. Its mental. Of course if they had a little help from the offense it would have been a different game.

That ETSU team was averaging 30+ points and 450+ yards a game.

I have no idea how you can say they lost their edge or lack of killer instinct. Furman made them work for every yard.

Etsu was very smart. They could have scored earlier but milked the clock beautifully.
Yea they were going to risk a turnover or a sack with no timeouts left so they could drain a few seconds.Don’t quit your day job.

Like I said they played great the first half not as great in the second. They were 10-15 on third down. Again, the defense was not the reason for the loss. Then again they failed on the 2 most important etsu possessions. A 75 yd drive after the only FU Td and an 80 yd drive to end the game. It should have never been that close. We easily should have been ahead 2-3 scores. The word that best describes this game is frustrating, very.

I agree. I don't think it was great clock management. I think that won't be highlighted because they won.

They were a bad snap or stepping on a shoelace from losing the game after using all of their timeouts.
