Not great for a coach to say he didn't know something was still a penalty.
I get why Citadel fans may be annoyed at the call, but it wasn't even a judgement call. It's literally a rule and Citadel clearly violated. That the players didn't know the rule isn't the official's fault.

Lot of Citadel fans mad online with this. They say this is a soft call. You hear Thompson talk about how soft football has become.
This has nothing to do with softness. This is literally a penalty. It's not even a judgement call. Is the guy out of bounds? Yes. Are you out of bounds? Yes. Did you initiate a block against him? Yes. It's a penalty.
