Furman is 6-2 overall and 5-1 vs. the FCS (FBS loss, non-counter win, FCS loss to No. 13 Samford, zero now-ranked wins, one then-ranked win over ETSU). The non-counter game could hurt Furman, but if they split these next two games vs. No. 7 Chattanooga and at No. 16 Mercer and then beat Wofford, an 8-3 Furman team with seven D1 wins and a victory over UTC or Mercer will get strong consideration.

Fordham plays Holy Cross this weekend.

URI plays William & Mary.

So, those games could bounce two bubble teams.

repeating our best hope is to beat mercer and have samford do the same.then even if we lose to chattanooga and beat wofford,we would have 2 conference losses to mercer's 3.obviously if we win all 3 we are in with 8-2 after droping the clemson and ngu games.so let's sweep the 3 and remove all doubt.

One season that snaps to mind is 2011 - Bruce Fowler's first year.

We beat App State and Wofford at home that year. Both were ranked in the top 5.

Wasn’t Wofford ranked pretty high in 2018-2019 when we beat them in Paladin Stadium? I could be wrong but that’s what comes to mind. They may not have been ranked that high

1993. It was Coach Satterfield's last home game as Furman HC.

Freshman Bonaventure came off the bench in the 4th Quarter to lead the Paladins on two TD drives to win the game. That, and our D played one of its best games ever in shutting down the high-scoring Herd.
