One person who hasn't gotten any love for a great game is Donavan Perryman.
Perryman led the team with 12 tackles, a sack, and of course the fumble recovery for a TD.
His accomplishments are being drowned out by conversations about QB's.

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman linebacker Donavan Perryman has been named Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Paladins' 28-17 victory over The Citadel on Saturday, the league office has announced.

Perryman, a junior from Rock Hill, S.C., paced a strong Paladin defensive effort with a team high 12 tackles, a sack, and a late fourth quarter fumble recovery that he returned 20 yards for a touchdown that sealed the win.

He played a leading role in a Furman defense that limited The Citadel to just 157 rushing yards after the Bulldogs entered the contest ranked seventh in the FCS averaging 282.3 yards per game. The 17 points marked The Citadel's lowest output this season.

Perryman's fumble recovery, which came with 2:04 remaining in the game, was the first returned by a Paladin for a touchdown since Carl Rider scooped up a fumble and returned it 27 yards for a score against Appalachian State in 2012.

He has 59 tackles on the season in his first campaign as a starter.
