No thank you. Let’s put the only other SoCon Team in the bracket into a different pod. Don’t care which pod, but we don’t need to ensure that only 1 SoCon CAN advance to the QF’s. That may sound fun today, but that kinda stuff led to FU’s SoCon Championship Team in 2018 not going to the Playoffs.

Outsider that has some ties, and FUBeAR seems to have it right. I still think Furman can get the 6 seed, but the important thing is you guys should get a bye and a home game. NDSU and Albany probably get seeds with 3 losses (although Albany played 2 FBS schools). Up until yesterday, the SOCON had 3 and sometimes 4 ranked teams through a lot of the season. So I expect FU with a seed and Mercer in. I also expect Mercer playing somebody like Gardner Webb, the winner heading to Greenville, and the winner of that round 2 game probably heading to Montana or USD for the quarters.

Yesterday stunk, but believe me - it stunk a whole lot worse for WCU than it did for FU.

Best case scenario is we are the 5 seed.

Much more likely we are hoping for 6-8. The key thing here is the seed.

The committee could very well punish Furman and the SoCon for yesterday. I do think they are going to give some consideration to Furman playing without it's starting QB (who has still never lost to an FCS team in games he's played) and what's left of our running back group.

Furman has an excellent defense. That defense is going to travel in the playoffs.

Our issue from the jump has been offensive consistency. We've had a lot of injuries in the offensive backfield. Yesterday it caught up with us.

I would be happy now with anything other than 7 or 8. 7 you head to Montana and 8 to SDSt. with one win. Those 2 are head and shoulders above everyone else.
