I apologize for wondering why our best qb prospect quit the team. That isn’t something that should be discussed in a football forum.

There is nothing wrong with discussing the fact that a player is no longer on the roster. The why part is sometimes none of our business. Especially when none of us have the facts. This happens a lot. If he wanted it to be public knowledge, he would have made it public.

Regardless your boundaries or what not it appeared C Minson was a “top 3 QB” for us and we NEED QB depth! CH said as much in an interview. So it’s not a good development. It’s not. Hope he’s fine personally. But from a FU Football perspective it’s not good. If nothing else we are an ankle turn away from a True Fr (Jace Wilson) starting .. and as Jackal noted, we never fare well in that case. Though I hope Sisson and Wilson are both awesome!!

Can anyone confirm if the players have had their medical evaluations yet? If a player were to have a health issue of a certain seriousness, and get a negative assessment, that player may have to discontinue sports regardless of their potential or love for FU. The longer we go with no public news of a transfer, the more likely the issue was a private one.

We can always count on FU for no info. Been over a week now and we have not had a single practice report. CM’s twitter page still says “quarterback Furman University” and has FU pics. Makes you wonder if this is even football related. Then again if that was the case why did FU quickly drop him from the roster.

Point taken…but does “True Fr” differ experience-wise much from “Skipped Sr yr in HS, Covid-RS-Fr, who had seen no college action & hasn’t played a down of a football game since 2019?” FUBeAR doesn’t think, at face value, the ankle-turn risk has become significantly elevated with Mr. Minson’s unanticipated exit. That said, it definitely affects overall QB depth & based on reported offers, he mighta been a good ‘un. But, there’s no sense in lamenting that you didn’t get married to the girl who didn’t go to the prom with you, even though she did smile at you that one time when you passed her in the hallway…is there?
