I am not a fan of Jimbo Fisher, but I like this thinking.
The reply’s are pretty nasty. These P5 fans kill me.

Nice sentiment from this UCF Fan though.

FUBeAR believes UCF is Furman’s most recent FBS ‘scalp’ (2015) and he also remembers them playing in Paladin Stadium in 1984 (a 42-6 Furman win). Guess this Knights fan hasn’t forgotten that scalping or their roots.

I suppose that UCF playing Furman at PS might produce a decent attendance, though not necessarily as good as many of the highly ranked or otherwise well-known FCS teams would produce, if we could get those to come.

WCU had a home and home with Montana coming up. They are still going to Montana but Montans bought out the return game,

Alabama just annouced 2 more future FCS games for 2025 and 2028. It is good to see top FBS teams such as ‘Bana, CU UGA, Tex A&M etc to continue to schedule future games against FCS teams, I would really like for FU to go to Alsbama or Georgia one of these days. Would really like to go to both.

We are full for 2023 but need 2 games for 2024. Already have 2 road games so need at least one home game to make it 5 home, 7 away. If we played another FBS game I would not be opposed to a 5 home 7 road. Also wouldn’t mind doing the same in 2025 which is another 12 game regular season.

Why do airports matter? Bus 2 don’t need a runway.
I’m certain Samford will not bus 12.5 hrs to San Antonio. UIW will not bus 12.5 hrs to B’ham. We don’t want our team or fans to have to spend 12+ hours getting to or from any opponent, other than when necessary in a playoff situation.
I too am confident Samford will not bus to San Antonio.
Only Presbyterian College would bus to Des Moines, win over Drake with two 4th-quarter TD drives of more than 90 yards, and, after an 18-hour ride home, fire the head coach. -- MD

Airports matter. That was the point.

FCS teams continue to scheduke FBS games as much as 8-9 years from now and continue to schedule home and home series with other FCS with some being intersectional. Example: NC Central and New Hampshire. It has been almost 3 years since FU announced a future football game. Just sayin’! Anyone heard anything, rumors etc?

Just annouced UTC @ Alabama in 2023. Would love for FU to get a game at UA just for the heck of it.

Happy to have attended Mercer @ Bama in 2017, and Furman @ Samford on the same day…

But was not overly impressed with Tuscaloosa or Bryant-Denny, really.

Campus is pretty nice and it’s easy to observe that they know a little somethin’ about putting on a Football game…unlike my 2nd Alma Mater, Clemson, which closes almost all the roads into the stadium pre-game and almost all of the exits from the parking lots post-game. Oh..and the Frat/Sorority Houses @ Bama are pretty impressive.

Other than sayin’ “we played Bama,” FUBeAR would prefer going to Duke or Wake Forest or Tennessee (never been to a game there) or Ole Miss (don’t miss Ole Miss in 2024!! FU needs to have planned ahead and have a BIG BIG BIG DO in The Grove!!!)…or others…

Looking forward to UT in ‘26 too. Never been there. Heard the seats are not wide thus the term packed in like sardines applies.
