I like that but a bit far....FWIW I like playing teams with higher academic profiles. One that we've played in the past, is in a good conference and fits that profile is William and Mary. I'd give a big thumbs up to that.

gofurman, what is the “what a call” that that PaulC is being credited for at this juncture, 2 months after the topic was being discussed? Has there been some future scheduling announcement? I’m sincerely curious and maybe uninformed on some recent development.

I still want one easy FCS (like CSU or Campbell) every year. Last year taught us a tough lesson. Not saying take all weak sisters. Just SoCon plus one FBS plus NC A&T plus .... CSU or Campbell or a supposed win. Don’t ever want to see 0-3 again. Clearly CH agrees w CSU and adding POINT at last minute

CH did not want to play Point. He does not want to play the weakest of the weak.

I am aware he didn’t want POINT specifically. He wanted another FCS game. Couldn’t get one so got “something” to where we could shoot for 8-4 or whatever if needed. I have heard credible people tell me this.— I agree it wasn’t that he wanted POINT. But he wanted someone (sure a weak FCS woulda been WAY better) and it just wouldn’t work out. Unfortunate but it was what it was. He was clearly upset w committee last year in several comments ... and then bam we have POINT added, to schedule. Not coincidental.

I agree he wasn’t seeking NAIA. It just went that way as couldn’t get Gardner Webb or Stetson Or whomever

Affirm, sorry if that wasn’t clear. . As Bootie noted... PaulC had earlier said that he would like to see us play W and Mary. Bam. Two months later they appear on our OOC schedule !
