Hope Minson is great but I wouldn't say our problems are solved. We now have 4 scholarship QB's on the roster (which is better than the spring) but 3 of them have never taken a snap at QB in college.

Did CCH ever come out and state why we as a team missed the mark so badly this past season? Among the fans I assume our top two answers would be QB play and offensive line in no particular order.

And then the question is why again? What made our QB and offensive line play not as good?

I just never saw this articulated by CCH per se. Maybe I missed it.

Obviously they missed something as they had predicted that we would win the conference last year. Just wondering exactly where and why they think the wheels came off the cart?

Hamp is being listed as a Junior. He had/has the option to play in the fall as a Sophomore. Being listed as a Junior (notice no redshirt) tells me Hamp's last season of college ball will be 2022.

Shiflet is listed as Redshirt Sophomore for the fall.
Colt Minson should play in the fall as a Freshman.
Jace Wilson and now Gabe Johnson will be Freshmen.

So it appears we have solved the problem of quantity of QB's. We'll know in about 4 months if we've addressed the real issue which is quality.

It’s a step in the right direction. Play calling is still a major issue.

I guess offensive game plan was hampered by the knowledge that we had only one serviceable qb. I know I cringed every time he ran the ball.

Just an FYI. Furman got a commitment from a decent looking (I'm assuming wo) QB yesterday. Gabe Johnson, 6-5 211, ran a lot of RPO, looks to be a good athlete. Will definitely stand out in QB photo.
