2019 Schdeule

3 more FCS teams announced schedules today. Norfolk St. 12 games(2 FBS-low, 1 D2), SE Louisiana, 12 games 1 FBS and Jacksonville St. 12 games all FCS. JSU has a games with E. Washington. We are beginning to see more and more inter-sectional games at the FCS level.

This is a very good thing. Hopefully the SoCon can start to be in the conversation to play these (I know UTC played JSU a few years ago). And we need to win to get some credibility back with the league.

Correct, Chattanooga has the return game with JSU in 2019 and also has James Madison this year. Samford has an early game against Youngstown St in Montgomery, AL. Citadel has the return game with Towson this year. Outside of that schedules are pretty localized. FU does have another home and home with Colgate coming up in 3-4 years.

I realize that Furman is close to a 12th game. My assumption is that it is for November 23rd
Also, this is a guess based in part by the schedules of other teams and the open dates for other teams to play us. Nothing is certain until the full schedule comes out.

I really like how this early part of the schedule shapes up.

Hopefully get off to a good start against a Charleston Southern team that was good in the past, but not as much now. Then a winnable FBS game at Georgia State. VT is no world beater, they certainly aren't Clemson. And then two tough SoCon games at home. If we can somehow come out of this at 4-1, we would be in incredible shape for the postseason as well as a SoCon title. Even 3-2, assuming two losses to FBS would be OK. Anything lower and we will be behind the eight ball once again, but I don't think that will happen.
