Several veteran members of the UFFP have decided that a new award will be started and presented at the first home FFPA tailgate next year.
We are proud to announce "THE GOLDEN SOCK AWARD" which will be presented to the person who best exemplifies the liberal arts education and skills gained at CLP functions in a verbal put down of another post. Young people call this a "burn" for some reason. The nominated post should not contain profanity which would violate many of the skills gained in Wednesday RIL gatherings.
The award is special. We have been able to obtain an under the calf 1976 athletic sock from the desk of Mr. Peebles. The sock will be painted gold and mounted on a really classy piece of plywood because that's the Furman way.
I present to you the leader in the clubhouse:
"Don’t forget to hide, and then wash, that sock you used while you were making this post."
Remember guys, we have the rest of football season as well as our off season to reach that level!
This will be an annual award, not something that comes around about as often as Halley's Comet...
