Again calling to push the start of the season back 2 months. He apparently was enjoying his time off and doesn’t want to go back to work. Everyone knows Iona is beneath you and you don’t want to be there but please shut up.

Instead of assigning that as his motivation, consider giving him credit for recognizing that the crisis is worsening and for feeling morally obligated to speak out to promote the idea of trying to do something more sensible than starting this month.

Instead of cutting Iona basketball, you need to be aware they have been in the NCAA tournament 12 (twelve) time since our dear Furman’s last appearance.
Also, New York state over the past 2 weeks has approximately 2,200 fewer test positive than does the entire (small) state of SC.
Also, Iona, with approximately double the student body size of Furman, has a cumulative total of roughly the same number of positives (107) as does Furman (100).

Wasn’t cutting Iona at all. Pitino THINKS Iona is beneath him from where he has been. He’s been pushing delaying the start for months not just now. If you were an Iona player how excited would you be to play for a coach that doesn’t want to play? Who knows if it will be better 2 months from now?

Hearing "morally obligated" and Pitino in the same sentence is strange.
